Series to run Wednesday evenings, 6-8 PM, throughout January.
Location: The Bitterroot Sporting Club,167 Airport Rd. Hamilton, Montana 59840.
Each of these courses may be attended as a stand-alone class OR the entire series plus a range time qualifier can be completed for certification towards a concealed carry permit.
The fee for the entire series plus 1 hour of range time is $150.00.

Wednesday January 3, 2024, 6-8 pm Firearm Basics to include: Safety, Selection of your defensive tool to include Proper Fit criterion, How to Perform a Clearance Verification and Press Check, Ammunition Selection and Ballistic Basics, Malfunctions and Understanding the Machine basics. $30 fee per attendee.
Wednesday January 10, 2024, 6-8 pm Violent Encounters & the Aftermath: Understanding the body’s response to a violent encounter, Fight, Flight & Freeze. The immediate aftermath to include the required procedures that must be part of your training to include dealing with police and evidence. $30 fee per attendee.
Wednesday January 17, 2024, 6-8 pm Developing a Personal & Home Defense Plan: Stats and facts to consider… why a defensive tool just might be a good idea, Situational Awareness, Action vs Reaction, and Planning for Home Security Considerations. Less than lethal options discussion. USCCA Sponsored Event makes this a no fee class!
Wednesday January 24, 2024, 6-8 pm Defensive Pistol Fundamentals: Shooting Platform from proper grip to stance, sight alignment methods, trigger control and the facts behind the method. We will also cover parking lot tactics to include and review what you’ve learned up to this point. $30 fee per person.
Wednesday January 31, 2024, 6-8 pm The Legal Use of Force: Understanding the Use of Force Continuum, the Four Pillars for Justifying the Use of Deadly Force, Does Defense in the Home differ from outside the home? Video based scenarios to aid understanding. USCCA Sponsored Event makes this a no fee class!
To earn certificate of completion for the series and become eligible for your concealed carry permit, be sure to schedule your 1 on 1 range time! Range time is $60 per hour, per student. Additional time can be booked if needed to complete the range qualifier. More range time is encouraged if you are a beginner, and we can schedule different days. New shooters typically become fatigued fairly quickly.
